Time has come for a RED BELT!!
Trish tested and PASSED her red belt test on Thursday. She was amazing! My photos came out blurred but I video taped the whole thing. Patricia was one happy girl! Master Bosse told the whole class that she was only one of two students he taught in 44 years that always did and tried her most at whatever he taught. What wonderful words! We are all so proud! She gets her belt presented on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll get better photos.
Parrot "class"
The day before we went to the farmers' market, we went to Rachel, Jim, Keegan and Quinn's house and the Lifelearners gave mommy a surprise baby shower. At the baby shower, the kids got out the parrots and had a parrot class/club, where anyone could come and take turns holding the two sun conyor parrots Crystal and Sunshine. Here are some pictures of the kids and the parrots.

We found a farmer's market!
We went to Water Street in Henderson today for the Farmer's market. I wasn't feeling hopeful that there would be any organic produce- but I was pleasantly surprised. We talked for a long while with an herb farmer out of Arizona who also grew apricots. We bought his apricots and honey. We found another farmer our of California that didn't spray. He talked to us about how expensive it is to become certified organic and that wasn't possible to do. We bought a bunch of his produce. The children had a great time and came home to enjoy the bounty.

Silly boys
Gino and Gabriel dressed up as Mario and Luigi from Super Mario bros.
This is Gabriel getting ready to walk to Tae Kwon Do. He dressed himself saying, "I wanted to change it up a little" and was set to go. Personally I think he was trying to be in disguise to hide from Cassie. She is a 15 year old girl from Tae Kwon Do. Her grandfather is the instructor. She is tough!! She has won many national and international tournaments. So, Gabriel is totally filled with admiration, fear and puppy love! She is the toughest girl he's ever met and he hides under the chairs when she comes in to class. I'll have to see if I can find a photo of her.

What have we been up to...
We have been walking to Tae Kwon Do (both for exercise and because gas is so darn expensive) and we discovered this Mama mourning dove on her nest. We have watched and finally they have hatched! I'll have to take a new photo of the 2 babies. Roman was funny, the final number in the address is a zero. He said that's where she should have made her nest. Much bigger- great idea, Roman!
Water parks are open! The boys had a ball at Mission Hills Park!
Trish is still climbing! This is at O'Callaghan park. One of our favorites- big trees, grass, shade, huge field- it's almost like being on the east coast!
